J.R. Warmkessel's Bio:
J.R. Warmkessel began his love affair with airplanes as a small child, growing up under the approach path to Moffet Field. The journey to becoming a pilot, however, began with his first training flight on January 31, 2003. He promised his wife (who incidentally began her love affair with planes growing up under the same approach path) that it would be just the private pilot rating. She agreed with him that it would be safest to add the IFR rating. The next thing she knew, he was already a commercial pilot, and half way to his Certified Flight Instructor rating (really, Sweetie, it's so I can teach you how to fly!). Although he kept his promise to teach her to fly (she achieved her private pilot rating in January 2006), his real specialty (and love) is High Performance and Complex training. J.R. currently feeds his addiction with the Trinidad TB20 he has based at Watsonville.
